Lid
Stainless steel tank lids are tried and tested closure components in the manufacture of silo, process, sterile and pressure vessels. They are primarily used in the food and beverage industry, but also in the pharmaceutical industry.
Due to their design, the tank lids are characterized by a fast opening and closing system compared to conventional flange connections. Robust hinges replace the familiar clamping elements and always center the lid when closing.
The unpressurized tank lids are supplemented by pressure dome lids, which in turn are divided into different pressure levels. The pressure levels depend on the operating pressure, temperature and other loads (e.g. an agitator).
Wetted parts are made from the material 1.4404 (316L). In addition to the standard surfaces, we can offer you a wide range of qualities for internal and external surfaces.

This type of lid is mainly used in storage tanks and provides access for maintenance and repair. Due to the conical shape of the frame, the tank lid can be easily adapted to the tank. The installation position is on the side in the lower area. This enables safe and easy access to the tank. The stable water column supports the seal. The lid is also CIP-compatible. The P11 manhole cover is also available in several variants with a flat frame and a deep frame. All of them allow very good cleaning and access to the tanks in the same installation position.

The pressure dome cover is used in pressure vessels. It allows the tank interior to be inspected. The design can be used to accommodate agitators, sight glasses and cleaning equipment. The installation position is usually on the tank. However, the pressure dome cover can also be installed on the side. The pressure load depends on the diameter, the number of tommy screws and the temperature. The dome cover is sealed by the preload force of the tommy nut.

This component was developed for unpressurized containers. The outer door serves as an inspection hatch on machines. It is installed in the spray area above or below the water level. The design is easy to operate and enables optimum opening and closing without tools.
